L.S. Recurve Camp
Part of a one-off series forged from a big set of leaf springs, this big blade was actually the first one forged. The steel is 5160, one of the most versatile blade steels for forging, is very tough and holds a good edge. The blade was forged to shape with the blade bevels hand-finished.
The handle material is white oak from a bourbon barrel. The inside of the barrels are charred and part of that charring remains visible. The handles are attached without pins.
The sheath is a deep pouch style made from my Dragonskin leather.
Blade is 9.25 long, 2.5" wide and 15" overall.
