Stainless Hunter & Sheath, May 6-8, 2026 (Deposit only)

This class will cover everything from the process of making a full-tang, stainless steel hunter from a bar of steel through grinding and heat treating to completion. This class will not have any forging. Instead we will focus on design, grinding, heat treating, and finishing, and the unique approaches to know when working with stainless steel. We will also incorporate a leather sheath class as part of this three-day class, so that you will not only leave here with a complete package, but you'll have the knowledge to build on for future knife or leather projects.
We will finish the class with a leather sheath class where we will talk about leather-working basics as well as things like tooling and dying, then finish by making a leather sheath fitted to your new hunter.
This is a three-day class, May 6-8, 2026.
The class is $1500 for the three-day class. In order to book the class, only a $100 deposit is collected. The balance can be paid when you arrive by cash, check, or credit card. Class is limited to four people. You must be at least 18 years of age at this time.
Travel: If you are thinking about traveling here for a class, here's some info. There's a great local airport about 20 minutes from the shop called Tri-Cities Regional Airport in Blountville, TN (airport code: TRI). There are several hotels very close as well. The Fairfield Inn and Suites (Bristol, TN) and the Hampton Inn (Bristol, TN) are the closest, but there are many more just a short drive away.
